JANUARY 2007
GODIVA's two superheros celebrate the New Year, keeping their resolution to fight for the right to satisfy the Trade.
Launching a budget range of Metric Taper rollers to complement Godiva's imperial range - available late in 2006. Great value, individually boxed, fantastic stocks, great news for the Trade in 2007.
NOVEMBER 2006
GodivaMan & GodivaWoman offer Trade an early Xmas present, increasing Godiva's stock offer to include Metric & Imperial Adapter and Withdrawal sleeves. Very competitively priced and individually boxed.
Our Trade Superheroes have not just added the Metric (H) series, but also the Imperial variations HE, HS & HA. Tremendous range, especially if you need a real cost effective Sleeve to fit our FAG spherical and Housings.
Don't forget to try Godiva Man's Nuts ...........................and lockwashers!!
OCTOBER 2006
GodivaMan launched a new range of Individually Boxed, Neutral, Imperial Taper Roller Bearings.
The range compliments the existing stocks of branded individually boxed Japanese products from Koyo or NTN that GodivaMan sells at impressive prices. As GodivaWoman commented "we have whizzed in massive stocks from the East so our customers have a choice of quality and price, all available to collect today, or for next day delivery. It was too much for us to carry all the Metric Tapers as well, so they are coming by sea and will be with us very soon, so completing the range of Taper Roller Bearings - our 'One Stop Shop' policy is growing.
If there are other ranges you think GodivaMan and I should stock you could drop an email to us at GodivaMan@godiva-bearings.co.uk or GodivaWoman@godiva-bearings.co.uk and our Buyers will look at the possibilities."
SEPTEMBER 2006
GodivaMan smashed his way into a new warehouse next door to the existing building in Dudley, West Midlands.
When GodivaMan and GodivaWoman bought in the new racking, transferred the existing shelving next door and finished moving the MILLIONS of bearings, in lightening fast time, there was still masses of space for new products and ranges. As the new building is two and a half times the size of the old one GodivaMan will have to 'fly' around the shelves to put away all the new stocks coming in late 2006 and early 2007 - enhancing the ranges available in our 'One Stop Shop'.
MAY2006
Godiva Man "landed" the LDK Triple Labyrinth sealed Inserts and "ploughed" a lot of time and effort investing in a comprehensive Range of HMEC Disc Harrow Bearings, again to complement his RHP and INA stocks.
Godiva Man took the AGRO out of AGRI by making available his HMEC as a cost effective alternative to some more expensive brands!
The "harvest" of Products was completed when Godiva Man brought in a "crop" of spherical OD ball bearings, with and without lubrication holes, on the outer ring. (eg 205nppb & G205nppb)
GodivaWoman reported a bumper yield for her Trade Only Customers.
FEBRUARY 2006 - Genuine RHP Self Lube is now available from GodivaMan in both stock locations.
GodivaWoman forced the Buyers to set the lowest possible prices for this range which ideally compliments the extensive stocks of INA Housed Bearings and LDK Individually Boxed, Branded quality product. As GodivaMan points out (and we don't think you would want to argue with GodivaMan:-) "This now means that our customers now have the traditional UK leading brand of RHP with its extensive grubb screw fixings, along with the European leading INA eccentric locking collar system and the cost effective LDK brand, all from one source. And with continuity of supply this will be a great help to the UK Power Transmission Trade - remember we only sell to the TRADE".
NOVEMBER 2005
GodivaMan used his Power to bring in to the UK his HMEC Glacier style bushes, fantastic quality at competitive prices .These bushes are now available in the UK from a source that WILL NOT sell to your Customer too!.
GodivaMan's comprehensive HMEC range of Glacier type products complements his tried and trusted mighty range Oilite bushes, from UK manufacturer BSA, and from HMEC - on sale to Trade only from GodivaMan.

MORE SPACE FOR CONTINUED GROWTH AT
GODIVA BEARINGS
GODIVA BEARINGS, the leading UK Trade Distributor of Bearings and related products is pleased to announce the expansion of their warehousing facilities in Dudley, West Midlands, enabling extra ranges of products to be offered to the Bearing Industry.
The new warehouse space is on the same Industrial Estate as the existing GODIVA BEARINGS warehouse in the West Midlands and this will replace the much smaller and older warehouse in Shepperton near Heathrow.
Existing GODIVA BEARINGS customers previously served by the Shepperton warehouse will have their accounts handled by the Dudley or Newcastle sales teams and warehouses, giving a wider range of products for immediate despatch.
David Harrow, Group Managing Director commented "With our continually expanding range of products offered as a 'One Stop Shop' for Bearings it is clear that we need more warehouse space. To satisfy our customers needs for a wide range of products without resorting to multiple deliveries from separate warehouses, it is essential that we can hold all our ranges in each of our warehouse locations.
With another building becoming available adjacent to the Dudley building it enables us to expand the space without treating it as a separate warehouse. Godiva Bearings commitment to delighting it's customers will be further enhanced by this more centralised Sales & Warehousing".
As part of the expansion a number of new jobs have been created in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Dudley West Midlands. In Dudley the sales force has been increased by 2 people and the warehouse team by 3. The systems team is being increased to expand the already extensive use if IT within the growing business. Newcastle has an extra person on the sales team and another in the warehouse.
ABOUT GODIVA BEARINGS: Formed in 1977 the company grew by specialising in the niche markets of Needle bearings & Rod End bearings. In 2004, following a management buyout, the ranges have been increased, in particular the addition of the FAG range of Ball & Roller Bearings allowing GODIVA BEARINGS to supply the complete range of Bearings. GODIVA BEARINGS is unique in that it specialises in supplying only the Bearing TRADE and does not compete with it's customers by supplying OEM's and End Users, rather it refers all such enquiries to it's Bearing
Trade partners.

News - Summer 2004 GOING FOR GROWTH
Godiva Bearings Ltd., the UKs premier
Trade only distributor of Bearings and related products to the Bearing
Trade, has been acquired in an MBO, led by the companys Managing
Director of 6 years, David Harrow.
This thriving business was founded in 1977 by Ian Cuthill, who was
soon joined by his brother, Paul, to supply Rod-Ends to a Surrey
based manufacturer making production machinery. Ian specialised
in purchasing the Bearings, and was a formidable buyer, whilst brother
Paul, in the early days, was delivering and collecting bearings
on his motorbike, but soon it became obvious that his talents lay
elsewhere, as he had, and still has a magnetic personality more
suited to selling products and communicating with clients.
Initially the business ran from Ians home, then from a shop
in Ashford which suffered a major flood in 1982 forcing the business
to move overnight to new premises in Shepperton, on the same estate
as the current Head Office is located. The business specialised
in Rod-Ends, Spherical Plain bearings and Needle Bearings, and the
early philosophy of Ian & Pauls to stock in depth and
breadth everything that they intended to sell has been developed
as the companys USP ever since, even when more and more products
and ranges were added.
The business is now located in three strategic locations, Newcastle
in the North East, serving the North of England, Scotland &
Northern Ireland, Dudley in the West Midlands whose customers are
predominantly located in the Midlands and Southern Ireland, with
Shepperton, near Heathrow, serving the Home Counties, South East,
South West and East Anglia. The company has developed unequaled
reputation for its stance of only supplying the Bearing Trade,
where other trade suppliers also deal with end users of the products,
in competition with their trade customers.
The company has developed an excellent Export business, where again
the superb in stock situation means that when immediate delivery
is required, Godiva is the supplier of choice. A sourcing department
for hard to find bearings has been developed in recent years and
has also contributed to the steady growth of the business which
has added the comprehensive FAG range of Ball, Roller & Spherical
Roller Bearings to its portfolio at the beginning of 2004,
giving customers a true one stop shop for bearings and
related products.
The MBO brings Ray Eccleston to the Board and will fully utilise
his 27 years experience in the bearing industry, previously working
for BSL and then INA Bearings, the second largest bearing manufacturer
in the world, to develop and grow the business over the coming years.
David Harrow, Chairman & Managing Director of Godiva Bearings
Group Ltd., said I have a huge enthusiasm and confidence about
this business, as have the whole team here at Godiva Bearings, so
it is very pleasing to have completed the MBO, as it positions us
perfectly to exploit the massive market opportunities available
to us. As part of the plan to maximise the growth in the business
we have created a new position and recruited a Business Development
Manager, who has vast experience in this type of role, to help us
generate new business in existing and new products.
The MBO has allowed Ian Cuthill to retire from the business, but
his brother, Paul, decided to roll over some of his proceeds into
the new company, Godiva Bearings Group Ltd., which acquired the
Cuthill family shares, and he remains in the business as Sales Director.
Paul commented It will be a totally new experience for me,
sharing the running of the company, and now being able to concentrate
on developing the sales to optimise Godiva Bearings full potential.
The new Board is confident that, as the business moves into this
next stage of its development, that the whole team will rise
to the new challenges, and will work with us to position the company
as the leader in the Bearing Trade market.
